The 63-strong fleet of yachts waited just 40 minutes for the sea breeze to settle in, allowing both short inshore races scheduled to be completed. With 8-14 knots of wind blowing from the West and flat sea conditions, crews enjoyed a short but sharp introduction to the week-long championship. Two Bottin-Carkeek designs, X-Sport and Italtel, dominated classes Alpha and Bravo respectively after two races with two wins each. |
