CADIZ, SPAIN-(4-4-2003) The 9th edition of the BOSW ( Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week) will take place in Barcelona from April 6th to 9th. On the race course Committee of the Tornado Class will be made up of officials from the ISAF Cadiz Worlds Organisation.
After the test event “ the III International Carnival Race” in which all the race Committees and Organization of the Cadiz Worlds were on the water, the team headed by the “gaditano” Angel Gallego and seven others has been invited by the Organising Committee to run the Tornado Class Area in this year’s Olympic Week.
With lest than five months to the most important Olympic Sailing Event of this year, and while the last preparations of being made numerous organisations, national and international competitions, are requiring the collaboration of these teams based in the Bay of Cadiz for the Organization of certain race areas.
The participation of these teams, constituted of a principal race Officer, two race Officers, one line Observed, two mark Layers, one auxiliary Committee and one finish Officer in international competition, taking place this spring /summer, will allow the different race officers and officials that will have the responsibility on the water during the ISAF Worlds to acquire more experience in all types of weather conditions while at the same time getting to know the crews with which they will have to work in the Bay of Cadiz.
As well as the team that will travel to The Barcelona Olympic Week, two other technical teams (Laser and Europe Class) will travel to the waters of the Bay of Palma to collaborate in the 34th Princess Sofia Trophy, a competition in which Consorcio Mundovela and Deporte Andaluz will also be represented with four Officials in the race office.
Later in the year between 11th and 19th of July two teams from Cadiz will travel to Laredo to form part of the Organisation of the 2003 World Championships.
