| MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA-(1-12-2003) Up to fourteen nations are expected to compete in the Australian 470 Championships to be held at Black Rock Yacht Club between January 20th and 24th 2004.
With so many international 470 sailors already ‘in town’ for the Olympic and Invited Classes Regatta, almost all have elected to delay their flights home to compete in the Australian Championships for some additional top level competition. Together with talented local sailors, many of the top 10 world ranked crews, a terrific venue and professional race management, the event is set to be a highlight of Sail Melbourne.
Combined with the Olympic Classes warm up regatta, this event will conclude a terrific series of three regattas for 470 class sailors.
