Soling South American Championship - Brazil takes Title at Soling South Americans |
PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL-(15-11-2004) Without the need to race the last race after a second in the first one of the day at the 25th Soling South American championship the VIPAL team with George Nehm and brothers Marcos Pinto Ribeiro, Lucio Pinto Ribiero won the championship and went early to the coast start their victory party.
Racing finished this Monday at the Yacht Club Veleiros do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil and nothing better at the 150 year aniversary of the VDS to have a VDS crew winning the continental championship.
The second place fo the championship went to Daniel Glomb, Caio Vergo and Andre Gick who had the best day at the championship winning both races and celebrating the victory twice because Andre became father too. Ernest Neugebauer, Lucas Ostegren and Adrion Santos could keep the third place by only one point over the Argentine Southern Winds team with Martin Busch, Pablo Noceti, Jeronimo Furtado.
The champions now look for the South American Match Race championship that will be host at the same club swapping boats and with a tremendous organization where the championship will be used as an ISAF seminar for umpires from December 9th to 12th.
