SOUTH AFRICA-(6-4-2007) Three races in the first day of racing from SE with 15-16 knots, the first and second windward / leeward courses of six legs, the third one was a double triangle course.
The Jangadeiros started the first race at 1300 who saw an earlier leading from the new Edding team (ARG32) with Warburg, Smith, Feldtmann followed by another Argentininan team ARG 40 sailing with KC 197 Chometowski, Cherro, Chometowski, the third after climbing from the back of the fleet, the VIPAL team (BRA73) with Nehm, Ribeiro, Ribeiro.
The second race wind increased a bit with more gusts and the lead starting at the first mark was for HOMEN team (BRA31) with Hartmann, Quevedo, Renard followed by Edding Team (ARG32) and actual Brazilian champion BRA 45 with Warlich, Gick, De Lorenzi.
The Race officer started quickly the third race this one VIPAL team(BRA 73) took the lead followed by Edding team(ARG32) and HOMEN team(BRA31).
The after races were the best with a dinner offered by the host, with fabulous Brazilian dinner, with beer and other drinks, Sailors gattered together until their bodies asked them to rest.
This friday three more races are scheduled winds are expected to decrease.
