Farr 40 OD Australian Championship - Richard Perini hopes to make it a second Farr 40 Australian National Title in a row
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA-(25-2-2003) The Farr 40's will finish off their season with the Joico and Rosemount National regattas both being raced at RPAYC over the weekends of March 1-2 and March 7-9, with the Palm Beach Circle course being used to do battle.  The one design fleet will have 14 boats representing NSW, VIC, SA and QLD vying for the top places at the two upcoming regattas.

The top 3 positions in the Australian circuit point score are currently held by Steve Ellis on Buon Giorno 10 points, Lang Walker on Kokomo 13 points and Richard Perini on Corinthian Doors 18 points.

John Calvert Jones winner of the World Championships in 2000 and runner up in 2001 will be racing on Southern Star II and is currently 12th on the point score.

Close racing can be anticipated in this extremely competitive fleet with crew work being a critical element each of the races. The racing that has been seen at the Farr 40 regattas held in Port Stephens and the Hope Island, JP Morgan and British Trophy regattas show how close the racing can be in this grand prix fleet.
