NIEUWPOORT, BELGIUM-(7-8-2002) The weather today was mostly cloudy with some sunny spells and gradually larger breaks during the afternoon. The wind blew 3-4 Bft.
Austrians STEFAN GLANZ / FLORIAN KOHOUT had a very good day and dominated the first two races. This brings them into third position overall. PANAGIOTIS MANTIS / THEODOROS POLICHRONIDIS from Greece jumped over NICOLAS CHARBONNIER / STEPHANE CHRISTIDIS from France to take the first place in the overall results.
Things can still change quite a lot before the evening is over. The two protest that are pending both concern the top three: Greece against Austria (race 7) and France against the Race committee (race 9).
In the silver fleet MANUELLE and VIRGINIE ADAM are taking a definite option on the end victory. They won all three races and have a lead of 13 points.
