15 disqualified sailors awarded redress
IODA Asian Sailing Championships - 15 disqualified sailors awarded redress
MUMBAI, INDIA-(31-12-2003) At the hearing held on the 29th of December 2003 wherein 15 sailors launched prior to Flag 'D' being hoisted and therefore were disqualified post a proper hearing by the International Jury.

Redressal was asked for by the Hong Kong team. On December 30th new evidence was presented and post a thorough review of the fresh facts the Jury granted redressal to all disqualified sailors in Race #1. Thereby their earlier finishing positions would be effective.

In a separate protest filed in Race no 3 by Chaitanya Chowgule (India Sail No.1022) against Faizani Bin Yahaya (Malaysia Sail No.95), Malaysian sailor was disqualified.
