Tornado European Championship - A sunny day for exiting races |
CAGLIARI, ITALY-(10-6-2003) For the second day of race there was a south- south easterly wind of about 6-7 knots increasing 8-10. In the European Tornado Championship result, after four races, in the first position is the greek crew, Paschalidis-Garefis (2-22-1-4). Then, we found the crews from Austria, Hagara R.-Steinacher Hans and Hagara A.- Seidl.
There are two different list for the race results : one for the European Championship (only european crew), and one for all the partecipants (Mats Nyberg Trophy).
In the 5 th Mats Nyberg Trophy, in the first position, the Australian team Bundock/Forbes; then, the Argentinian crew, Lange/Espinoza and the greek crew Paschalidis/Garefis. After four days of race, the italian helmsman, Alberto Sonino comments: “The crews are very strong and competitive. Starting with other 75 boats is difficult, and the strategy too is conditioned to the shifty wind. But the organization is good and the race area wonderful.”.
